Privacy policy

This site is operated by Dr. Katelyn Mudry, Naturopathic Medicine (460 - 304 St., Kimberley, B.C. V1A 3H4). Questions about your information go to info@drkmudry.com.

We follow the privacy laws that apply in British Columbia and across Canada, including BC's Personal Information Protection Act and the federal PIPEDA.

This site runs on its own accounts and its own database, separate from Dr. Mudry's clinical systems. Your purchases, progress and comments here are not added to any clinical record, and a clinic account is not linked to an account here.

• Your name, email address and a securely stored password.
• Your purchases: what you bought, when, the amount, and the tax charged. Your card details go straight to Stripe, our payment processor, and never reach our servers.
• Your course progress, such as which lessons you marked complete.
• Comments and replies you post in discussions.
• Messages you send us, and basic technical data such as your browser type and IP address that our hosting providers log for security.

• To create your account, give you access to what you bought, and save your progress.
• To take payment, send receipts, process refunds and keep tax records.
• To run the discussion spaces and keep them kind and safe.
• To answer your questions and fix problems.

We use your information for these purposes. We do not sell it.

When you choose to post anonymously, other learners see "Anonymous" in place of your name. Dr. Mudry and site administrators can always see who wrote the comment. This helps keep the community respectful and lets us act on posts that break the community guidelines in our Terms.

At signup, and on your account page at any time, you can choose to receive two optional email lists: news and updates from Dr. Katelyn Mudry, and herbal content from Solarium. Both boxes start unticked. We keep a record of when and how you agreed.

Your name and email address are shared with our email service, Kit, to send these emails, after you confirm your email address. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can change your choices on your account page. Receipts and account emails are sent regardless, because they are part of your purchase.

• Stripe processes payments.
• Supabase hosts our database and sign-in, in a Canadian data centre.
• Vercel hosts the website.
• Kit sends our optional email updates, only to people who opted in.

These providers may process data outside Canada, including in the United States, where local laws apply. We choose providers that protect data with industry-standard security.

We store a sign-in token in your browser so you stay signed in. We run no advertising or cross-site tracking.

Account information stays while your account is open. Purchase and tax records are kept for the period tax law requires, generally six years. Comments you delete are hidden from view and removed when your account is deleted.

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or withdraw consent, by emailing info@drkmudry.com. We reply within 30 days. If we cannot resolve a concern, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

This service is intended for adults (19 or older).

When we change this policy we update the date at the top. For significant changes we also email account holders.
